Its been a couple of months, but we are excited to announce that the Local Content on our Community Channel 1 is BACK.

Everyday at 12 noon, 4pm, 8pm and 10pm watch our new local video programming.

This weeks new content includes a YMCA Strong Kids feature as well as a look at Exeter’s Family Day Festivities.  Have a watch, you might see someone you know!

As an added bonus, we have the first episode of our Local Noise series. This series will feature local artist from all around the area.

Who doesn’t like a little friendly competition for a good cause?

A few weeks back Hay Communications, based out of Zurich,  approached us to participate in a friendly game of hockey in support of the Huron County Food Bank. We were to build a team from our staff and play Saturday, April 28th at 4pm.

This past Saturday Team TCC [plus a couple free agents we picked up last minute] hit the ice at the Hensall arena. The stands were full of family, friends and staff and the game was under way. Much to our surprise the match up was quite even however Hay took an early 1-0 lead. By the end of the second period Hay held on to their lead at 4-3. But 3 periods and 5 minutes of OT wasn’t enough to decide this game so both sides had a quick team meeting and we were off to a shootout. After a few shooters the game was decided ? Hay would win with a score of 5-4.

We would like to thank Hay for inviting us and everyone who brought generous donations to the Huron County Food Bank.

We are ready for a rematch next year!

You have probably heard Digital TV’s latest buzz word ‘TVEverywhere‘. But now you’re wondering what is it, what does it mean? Can I have it?

I think if it was called “why do I now have to ‘sign in’ to watch last nights Grey’s Anatomy online?!?” it would get more attention. Don’t stress, we will have you caught up on your favourite shows again in no time.

Basically, TVEverywhere [TVE] is an awesome new service that allows digital TV subscribers to stream some of their favourite TV stations on their mobile devices. You can watch both live shows and on-demand content. There are only 2 requirements: 1. you must subscribe to the channel through your at home TV package and 2. that channel must be TVEverywhere compatible.

TCC is now offering 5 TVEverywhere channels with many more on the way. All you have to do is register [don’t worry, this is free] and create a username and login. HERE are the step by step instructions to let you hit the ground running.

So next time you’re sitting at the doctors office waiting for your appointment or spending the night at the arena supervising back-to-back hockey practices ? don’t wait, watch instead.
