Home Phone Calling Features

Set up your home phone, cell, and business phone to ring simultaneously for incoming calls. The first line to answer can takes the call either live or by voicemail.

Set up several numbers to ring in a predetermined order. If you do not answer at the first number, the call will automatically move to the next number in the list. Unanswered calls can be routed to your voicemail service.

If you are not available to answer the phone or are busy on another call, then Call Answer is for you. It is an answering service that works on your existing touch-tone telephone allowing callers to leave messages that you can retrieve whether you are home or away from home.

Residential customers can store up to 30 new or saved messages for a maximum of 10 days.

FROM YOUR OWN PHONE:
• Press the Messages button or dial *98.
• Enter your voicemail password.
• If you have new messages, they will
be identified.
• After listening to any new message, you will be
presented with the Voicemail Main Menu. The Main
Menu options are listed in the next column.


FROM ANOTHER PHONE:
• From an external phone either:
1. Dial the voicemail access number: 519-263-1234
Or
2. Dial your main telephone number and
press *
• When prompted, enter your 10-digit number.
• When prompted, enter your voicemail password + #.
• If you have new messages, they will be identified.

Know who is calling before you answer your phone. This phone calling feature allows you to see the name and telephone number of the person calling on the caller ID screen before you answer so that you can choose which calls to answer.

Eliminate the guesswork with this new service and a compatible display phone. Visual Call Waiting shows you the name and number of the person who's calling even when you are already on the phone. It is a great combination of Call Waiting and Call Display services.

An additional phone number is assigned to your telephone line. You can keep the main number for your Mom & Dad and the second number for your kids or program your fax machine to pick up the second number. The telephone rings differently for each number which makes it easy to know who the call is for before answering.

End the frustration of reaching a busy signal with Busy Call Return *66 which monitors busy lines for up to 30 minutes and then alerts you with a special ring when the line is free. Last call return *69 returns the last call you received, whether or not you answered it.

Transfer calls to another number without the caller ever having to hang up. This works great too if you have a fax machine on another number. If someone mistakenly sends a fax to your voice line, just transfer the call to your fax line.

You can program your phone to reject calls from up to 10 numbers that you place in the rejection list. When your service is turned "on", callers in this list will hear a message stating that you are not accepting calls at the moment. All other calls will ring through as usual.

With this feature on your line, you can control all long distance calls. A PIN code is required before a long-distance call can be made directly from your telephone.

While talking on the phone, Call Waiting alerts you to another incoming call. You can put your current caller on hold, take the second call, and even switch between calls. *Minimum $2.00 charge applies.

Program your phone to forward all your calls to any one number at a time, for example, your cell phone number. *Minimum $2.00 charge applies. Simply follow this process:

• Dial *72 in your phone
• Listen for three beeps followed a by dial tone. Dial the phone number to which your calls are to be forwarded. If the person answers, keep the line open for at least 5 seconds to establish the service.
• If the number is busy or does not answer, hang up. Dial *72 again. Dial the number to which your calls are to be forwarded, listen for two beeps, and hang up.
• To deactivate the Call Forwarding service, dial *73. Listen for two beeps and hang up.

Program your phone to ring at the time you would like to get up the next day. *Minimum $2.00 charge applies.

If you would like to talk to more than one friend at a time, use three-way calling to have two parties on the line at the same time. *Minimum $2.00 charge applies.

You can program up to 30 telephone numbers - local or long distance - into your Speed Calling list. Then, you can reach these people just by dialing two digits. *Minimum $2.00 charge applies.
